The 1/4 oz Australian Lunar Year of the Dragon 2024 gold coin is a magnificent way to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Wood Dragon. The design from the Lunar III series is the fifth edition referring to the Chinese lunisolar calendar. In previous editions, these were: Year of the Mouse 2020, Year of the Ox 2021, Year of the Tiger 2022, and Year of the Rabbit 2023.
The richly decorated coin is a legal tender. Each bullion coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule.
The reverse of the coin depicts the dragon in full glory. It is set against a background of stylized mists and waves. The Chinese character for dragon and the inscription DRAGON 2024 are engraved here. The P125 mint mark signifies the 125th anniversary of The Perth Mint.
