Vienna Philharmonic Coin, produced since 1989 by the Austrian Mint, quickly gained popularity. The Philharmonic is the first bullion coin issued in Euro currency.

What does the 1 oz Vienna Philharmonic Silver Coin look like?

The design of the Vienna Philharmonic coin was created using computer graphics and then transferred onto gold blanks. According to the World Gold Council, in 1992, 1995, and 1996, it was the best-selling bullion coin in the world.

The silver version of the coin has been issued since 2008. The obverse features the grand organ of the Golden Concert Hall in Vienna. Below, the weight of the coin, fineness, year of issue, and denomination - 1.5 Euro - are inscribed. The official name of the country also appears: “Republik Österreich”.

The reverse displays instruments: a cello, four violins, a horn, a bassoon, and a harp. The instruments are arranged under the German name of the orchestra: “Wiener Philharmoniker”.

The Vienna Philharmonic Silver Coin is a legal tender recognized worldwide.
