The mirror gold coin, designed by Ewa Tyc-Karpińska, features a white eagle on the obverse, in line with the emblem of the Republic of Poland. It is depicted centrally against a rosette with decorative ornamentation. Along the edges, there is a semicircular inscription RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA, as well as the denomination of the coin, the year of issue, and the mint mark. The reverse of the coin shows a profile portrait of John Paul II with folded hands. He is depicted against a background of rays spreading in different directions.
