The 100 Corona gold coin was minted from material with a fineness of 900. Historically, the gold coin has been minted since 1892, when Franz Joseph I initiated a currency reform in Austria-Hungary. The gold coin with a denomination of 100 Corona was issued from 1908 in honor of the emperor's diamond jubilee.

COIN APPEARANCE

The reverse of the gold coin features a bust of Emperor Franz Joseph I. Around the ruler's likeness, an inscription in Latin is minted: FRANC IOS I D G IMP AVSTR REX BOH GAL ILL ETC AT AP REX HVNG.

The obverse of the gold coin depicts the coat of arms of Austria-Hungary.
