Product Description

Since 2009, the National Bank of Poland has been issuing a series of coins titled History of Polish Popular Music, which commemorate outstanding figures in this field. So far, coins have been issued featuring the following artists:

in 2011: Jeremi Przybora and Jerzy Wasowski

in 2013: Agnieszka Osiecka

in 2014: Grzegorz Ciechowski

in 2020: Krzysztof Klenczon

This silver coin honors the work of the great artists who created the Kabaret Starszych Panów, namely Jeremi Przybora and Jerzy Wasowski. 

Coin Appearance

The coin features a stylized image of the album cover of Kabaret Starszych Panów, with the figures of Jeremi Przybora and Jerzy Wasowski. Below the image is the inscription Kabaret Starszych Panów, and above it the names of the creators: JEREMI PRZYBORA JERZY WASOWSKI. Along the top edge, there is the inscription: HISTORY OF POLISH POPULAR MUSIC. On the right side, there is an image of the eagle, the emblem of Poland. There is also the denomination of 10 zloty and the year of issue - 2011. On the left side of the coin, there is a fragment of musical notation. At the bottom, there are images of an inverted top hat, a cane, a flower, sheets of paper, and a fountain pen. Below these elements is the inscription: RZECZPOSPOLITA. On the right side, there is the inscription: POLSKA. The coin is marked with the mint mark M/W.
