A silver, gold-plated coin issued to mark the 125th anniversary of the establishment of Perth Mint, which falls in 2024. It is made of 99.99% pure silver and is an Australian legal tender. Its design features a kangaroo, koala, and kookaburra, artistically arranged among woven Australian vegetation, referencing the country's coat of arms. The coin has a limited mintage of 2,500 pieces and pays tribute to Perth Mint's long-standing minting excellence, combining rich history with exquisite design and modern numismatic techniques.
The coin depicts on the reverse a kangaroo, kookaburra, and koala among tree branches, referencing the vegetation shown in Australia's coat of arms. In the central part, we see the kangaroo, on the left the koala, and on the right the kookaburra. At the bottom of the coin, there is a scroll with an inscription indicating the mint's anniversary. The weight, purity, and year of issue of the coin are also placed there. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Dan Thorne, as well as the coin's denomination. This is a silver coin with 24-karat gold finishes on the edges and borders of the coin; the animal images are also gold-plated. The coin is housed in an elegant packaging with a transparent lid bearing the mint's logo.
