At the top is the inscription "N.AE./KATHARSIS", on the left side perpendicularly the inscription "HISTORIA POLSKIEJ", and at the bottom "MUZYKI ROZRYWKOWEJ". The obverse contains a portrait of Czesław Niemen, on the left side perpendicularly the inscription "NIEMEN/CZESŁAW", and next to it perpendicularly, in the opposite direction, the inscription "RZECZPOSPOLITA". At the bottom left is the inscription "POLSKA 10 ZŁ", and under the left paw of the eagle, the mint mark "MW".
