This marks the 45th anniversary of the debut of the Canadian Maple Leaf series coins. The coin features selective gilding, creating a sunray effect. These golden glows catch the eye, drawing attention to the relief, which is surrounded by a new "amber maple" pattern. The whole exudes freshness and energy, adding flair to Walter Ott's classic bullion maple leaf design in 2024.
The reverse of the coin features the Canadian Maple Leaf design by Walter Ott. The distinctive 1.5-millimeter deep incuse is entirely gilded and surrounded by the "amber maple" field pattern.
The field pattern is also repeated on the obverse of the coin, where the gilding highlights the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
