The graphic composition of the coin directly refers to the winter theme and the spirit of sports competition. The entire design is maintained in a style characteristic of Olympic issues – with an emphasis on the symbolism of movement, national identification, and moderate decorativeness. On the reverse, in the central part, there is a figure of a cross-country skier in motion, conveying the tension and effort of sports competition. Below, a maple leaf is depicted, clearly referring to Canada, the host country of the games. On the right side, in the upper part, a simplified logo of the Polish Olympic Committee is placed, while along the rim runs the inscription: POLSKA REPREZENTACJA OLIMPIJSKA VANCOUVER 2010. The obverse also contains the silhouette of a skier, giving the coin a cohesive, two-sided compositional character. There is also a visible snowflake, emphasizing the winter context of the event.
