The presented gold coin is the culmination of the popular Queen's Beasts series, produced by the British Royal Mint, The Royal Mint. The series is inspired by the majestic statues that guarded the entrance to Westminster Abbey on the day of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation.
The issuance of this coin series began in 2016 and has been of great interest to both collectors and investors from the start.
To conclude it, a coin was prepared that presents the queen surrounded by all 10 beasts:
• The Lion of England
• The Griffin of Edward III
• The Unicorn of Scotland
• The Red Dragon of Wales
• The Black Bull of Clarence
• The Falcon of the Plantagenets
• The Yale of Beaufort
• The White Lion of Mortimer
• The White Horse of Hanover
• The White Greyhound of Richmond
The coin made of pure gold will be a beautiful culmination of the collection.
Appearance of the 2021 1 oz Gold British Queen's Beasts - Series Completer - 24h Shipping!: 1 ounce
The reverse, designed by Jody Clark, features all ten of the Queen's Beasts, while the central place shows a profile portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The obverse, of course, depicts the image of Queen Elizabeth II. The nominal value of the coin is engraved, as well as the inscription “ELIZABETH II D G REG F D” – which are acronyms for “Dei Gratia Regina” (Latin for Queen by the Grace of God) and “Fidei defensor” (Latin for Defender of the Faith).
